Purple Rain

Dress - Apricot
Jacket - Tammy
Bag - Dorothy Perkins
Shoes - Dorothy Perkins

Hi guys!! As most people in the UK already know, we have reached that time of year again where we say goodbye to our glorious summer wardrobes and hello to snuggly jumpers and countless umbrellas.

But before I swap my sunglasses for a woolly hat, I thought that I would share the outfit that I wore last Thursday (the last day of sunshine before the rainclouds joined us)

I love this dress not only for its lovely floral pattern (sorry for the poor photo quality!!) but because of the gorgeous tulle petticoat underneath that peeks out ever-so slightly. I also love the dress because it can adapt to the colder months ahead with the addition of a jumper. tights and some boots.

My shoes are the most comfortable shoes ever!! These wedges are incredibly comfortable and are just the right height that I can wear them out casually or dress them up for instant glamour. I can also wear them all day and night and not have sore feet the next day *bonus!!*

I've had my denim jacket for yeeeeaaars (it's actually age 7-8) and despite only just being able to squeeze my arms through, I was determined to wear it as it brightened up the dress.

My bag is also something that I have had for years and I wear it nearly all time. As it's a satchel (sorry once again for poor photo quality!) I find that it compliments most of my outfits and remains classically timeless and stylish.

I hope that you have enjoyed this post! x

Body Shop Goodies

Hello everyone!!

........This is my first ever blog post *eeeek* All of this is completely new to me so please bear with me and my awful editing/camera skills lol

I recently went to the Body Shop and as my 'Love Your Body' card was near expire, I treated myself to some of their wonderful makeup and thought that I'd share what I bought with all of you. So, here it goes........

 Lipstick 240 Damson in Distress - £10.00

I'm a sucker for lipstick and when I saw this one, I HAD to have it!! I usually wear MAC lipstick in Cremesheen Hang Up but I sometimes find it rather thick/ sticky to put on and have to wear Vaseline underneath it. This Body Shop lipstick is a shade lighter than my MAC lipstick and I find it much easier to apply. It also goes really well with my lip liner.....

Lip Liner 04 Mauve Berry - £8.00

I don't usually wear lip liner but I do like to wear lipstick and when I spoke to the shop assistant, she recommended that I give the liner a go, so I did! I find the lip liner really easy to use and I really like how it blends in with both my MAC lipstick and my new one.

Brow & Liner Kit 03 - £10.00

Next up is probably the thing I was most excited to get! I've had my eye on this brow kit for a while now and after testing it in-store, I totally fell in love! I use the brown powder in the day for a more casual look and I use the black/smoky grey colour if I'm going out somewhere special to define my brows even more. I usually just use the brush provided in the kit as one end is angled whilst the other is small and pointed which gives you a lot of choice when deciding styles.

Extra Virgin Mineral Powder 402 - £15.00

I only really wear foundation on special occasions as I find that whenever I wear it, I end up touching my face and getting it on my clothes ( yep, I'm a crazy cat). But my face is nearly always shiny *siiiigh* so I usually just wear a little bit of my 'Dark Blot Powder' from MAC over my face cream. However I wanted a looser powder to use in the mornings. Initially I was unsure about this powder as when you put it on it is reeeeally light! But when you work it into your face it blends really nicely and stops my face from being super shiny!! *yaaaayyy!!!*

 Slanted Brush - £9.00

Last but in no way least, is this slanted brush. I hadn't really cared for slanted brushes before but after watching Tanya Burr's Kendall Jenner makeup tutorial (watch it here), I knew that I needed one in my life!! This brush is awesome for brows, eye shadow and eye liner and you can create some great angles and shapes with it. I intend to use it to recreate the look in the tutorial.

And that is all folks! I hope you enjoyed this post and found it useful.
Let me know if you have any recommendations for future purchases!
